As everyone knows (wait, maybe not everyone had a Bernadette Peters shrine in their room at 5 years old) "Spring Awakening" swept the Tony's last Sunday night in all of its angsty Broadway glory. I had mixed feelings about the show both times I saw it but enjoyed the great cast and music. Regardless of my feelings for it, I was happy to see something completely original winning the Tony this year. Since I'm going to be flying across the country today, I thought instead of documenting my travels ("here's Matt eating crappy food," "here's Matt on the moving walkway") I'd share a few Tony videos. Below is "Spring Awakening" performing a montage of some songs complete with camera work at the end that's like a bird crashing into a windshield....repeatedly.
Last, but not least, is a hilarious red carpet video with Triumph the Insult Dog. Not much I can say about this one but between the "Gaydar" and his comment to Angela Lansbury, I was laughing pretty hard.
I love Triumph. He's gotta be the best thing on NBC next to Conan of course. And that's great that he got to talk to the cast of "spring awakening". I'll have to see the show the next time I'm in the city.

Welcome back home, or welcome back from home, whichever you prefer.
