For some reason this group of pictures made me the most emotional of all that Arron has sent me. I don't know if it was just that I enjoyed dancing "Othello" or merely seeing all of my friends on stage while I'm typing at a computer in Montana that set me off. Today is the two month mark of being sick which is rather hard to digest but I'm improving slowly (despite a little relapse over the past few days.) Since I tend to have myself on the mind lately, forgive the indulgence of using myself as a prop in the following blog story....(ALL PHOTOS BY ARRON SCOTT)
(One day backstage at the Met Roman was putting on his lipstick (as usual) and wondering where his Florida companion Matt was hiding?!)
(After asking all the boys, he turned to his right and found Herman standing by a locker. "Do you think he is just stuck inside here? Crammed in by some bully hung up by his underwear on the hook?")
("In a locker?" Jeff gasped. "Matt could never fit in a locker with his booty. I hear he's stuck in a faraway land above the rafters known as Montana." But what do foolish jesters know? It would take a lot of convincing to organize a search team.)
(Marcelo even got involved (after getting his mystic tan of course) and asked his ladies to prepare the ropes to climb to the rafters.)
(Minutes later he erupted in a fury the likes of which the world had never seen. "Two ropes," he screamed, "we need at least 10 ropes in a fancy design!")
(Who was to be punished for such insolence?)
(But before he could slam his fist down with the fury of Zeus' thunderbolts, BLOG SUPERSTAR Adrienne started spinning like Linda Blair's head. She worked the crowd into such a tizzy as she danced "The Dance Of Many Snakes With Bedazzled Fangs" they had no choice but to go searching.)
(Finally, someone had aligned the ropes in a beautiful pattern leading to the rafters and the faraway land.)
(But which boy would be brave enough to climb the tangled ropes? Certainly monkey man Arron was willing to give it a go...)
(After ascending the ropes and ripping his monkey hands to shreds, Arron spotted the box where Matt most certainly was hidden. He quickly ripped it open with this teeth...)
(Only to find a hat devoid of any head. Will Matt ever return to fill his manly jester hat?)
I like all the pictures we're getting of Herman!! What is he seriously doing in the locker picture? I mean, why the odd look? He's fun! I can't wait to see him in the Michalek project at Lincoln Ctr in July...
I wonder if you guys used the same bronzing self-tanning crap for Othello that Latin ballroom dancers use in competition to make themselves look "Latin"?... I was so upset after seeing that one the first time, but I'm sad I only got to see it once; I have a feeling it would have grown on me. Oh well...

Great pics and a great story to go along with them. I'm sure you'll be back with the corps soon, you did mention starting to be on the upswing, right?

Hope you're soon back to dancing.

I have NO clue what herman is doing in the locker picture, I can only assume he is searching for me :-)
I hesitate to say that I'm on the upswing because every day seems so very different but my time in Montana has been good more often than not. Still have no idea when I will return to any type of physical activity but hoping it will be sooner rather than later. There is a possibility I will be back for small stuff but it's not entirely up to me.
Hope everyone is well!

Herman was trying to break into Luis's locker to get to the PS2 inside... soccer video games are in high demand this season!
