I went back and forth about whether or not to share the following video, but I figure with all the details I've posted about my personal life over the past few years, this clip ranks a mild '2' on the embarrassment scale.
Anyone who follows my Tweets probably noticed a resurgence of Beyonce-related posts throughout the past week, all due to a Beyonce-themed (yes, you read that right) birthday party for my lovely Suga Mama, Angelina. Now, let me state that none of the following would have happened without Michelle Dorrance, phenomenal tap dancer, Stomp-er, and Beyonce enthusiest. It was because of Ms. Dorrance that a group of Angelina's friends (and some people who had never met her before) gathered in a TINY (seriously, check it out) rehearsal space downtown last Saturday night to do what we called a 'Beyonce-B'Day Variety Show.' I had planned on sitting out for the performance portion, but Dorrance convinced me to dance, and so I concocted a very special version of "Single Ladies" about an hour before showtime. Now, I never thought I'd "perform" this, and let me tell you that learning it off a YouTube was no easy feat for a ballet dancer whose natural stance defies the required positions. Fortunately I had a hot, So You Think You Can Dance Poland performer by my side. (No, I'm not in heels. But it's probably the only time you'll see me in tights in the near future.) Not to mention you get the special treat of seeing the lovely April Cook, Michelle Dorrance, Nicholas Young and my sister Carson perform "Ego." Check it out. Prepare to be terrified by my portion. Just don't say I didn't warn you.
So many kinds of awesome!!

Terrified!? You so crazy. Your develope makes me squeal with glee. I love you more than cheesy romantic comedies. More than In N' Out. More than driving through the desert listening to perfect pop. More than pineapple mojitos. And yes, even more than Lady B. You are my halo, you bootylicious soldier.
