Anyone in the New York dance world has inevitable been to, danced in, or at least heard of the spectacular Works & Process series hosted weekly at the Guggenheim Museum on the Upper East Side. The program provides an opportunity for audiences to view some of the world's best dancers up close and personal, and even gives them a chance to hear teams behind new and existing works discuss their creative life...imagine Inside The Actors Studio with a dance perspective and you'll get the idea.
Fortunately, for those of you outside NYC, the Guggenheim has started streaming their series online. I'll be shooting the (sold out) show tonight, which will showcase new works by choreographers Donald Byrd and Pam Tanowitz (interpreting the music of John Zorn). To make the event even more irresistable, the choreography will be danced by none other than Ashley Tuttle, of ABT and Broadway's Movin Out. Be sure to check it out below or follow the link!
So long as there is breath in me, that long will I persist. For now I know one of the greatest principles of success; if I persist long enough I will win.
